MONTGOMERY — Governor Kay Ivey officially welcomed Huntley, a three-year-old female Yellow Labrador, as Alabama’s new First Dog on Monday. Huntley has quickly become a beloved member of the Governor’s household.
“Huntley is amazing,” Governor Ivey remarked. “We spend time practicing her commands, playing with her toys, and even enjoyed a peaceful weekend at the lake together. She settled into the Governor’s Mansion effortlessly and is thriving in her new home.”
Huntley lives at the Governor’s Mansion with Governor Ivey and will occasionally join her in the Capitol Office, providing companionship throughout the day. The arrival of Huntley adds a warm, personal dimension to the governor’s busy schedule.
