Raleigh firefighters pulled off a heartwarming Easter rescue on Sunday, saving a dog that had become trapped in a storm drain.
According to the Raleigh Professional Firefighters Association, the rescue team received reports around 1:35 p.m. about a dog stuck underground on Laurel Glen Drive. When firefighters arrived, they found the dog approximately 10–15 feet inside the drain.
With assistance from Animal Control, the firefighters were able to safely pull the dog out of the hole. Thankfully, the dog was uninjured and was quickly reunited with its family.
