GREENIES™ is encouraging pet parents to take action on their dogs’ dental health by playfully challenging them to sniff their pets’ breath. With 80% of dogs experiencing dental issues by age 3, the brand is raising awareness about the importance of oral hygiene for pets. To kick off the campaign, GREENIES™ has partnered with comedian and dog mom Fortune Feimster, who joins the “Double Dog Dare” challenge to help educate owners on the early signs of dental problems.
Dental issues in dogs can lead to pain, infections, and serious health complications if left untreated. Regular monitoring, oral care routines, and veterinarian check-ups are essential for maintaining their dental health. Feimster, known for her love of dogs, admits to occasionally avoiding stinky kisses from her pets but stresses the importance of recognizing these signs.
To assist with monitoring dental health, GREENIES™ has introduced the GREENIES™ Canine Dental Check, an AI-powered tool that evaluates the appearance of a dog’s teeth and gums through a photo taken at home. This technology offers pet parents valuable insights into their pets’ oral health and prompts discussions with veterinarians.
Jean-Paul Jansen, Chief Marketing Officer of Mars Pet Nutrition North America, emphasized the brand’s commitment to improving pet care. The GREENIES™ Dental Check is the first of several digital tools designed to help pet parents confidently manage their pets’ health and maintain their bond.
With this new tool and their dental health products, GREENIES™ encourages pet owners to incorporate dental care into their pets’ routines to improve both oral and overall health.
