After spending four months at the Wood County Dog Shelter, George is hoping for a family to call his own. According to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding, the friendly dog is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and heartworm-free, making him an ideal companion for the right household.
“George is a playful dog who enjoys activities like playing ball and going on walks. He’s affectionate and loves the company of people, but he thrives best as the only pet in the home. While he gets along with other dogs during walks, he is not suited for living with another dog,” Harding explained.
In addition to his friendly nature, George has a special fondness for visiting the Bowling Green Fire Department, where he is a favorite among the firefighters. Harding shared that George often spends his time in her office at the shelter, happily engaging in playful zoomies when the mood strikes.
The adoption fee for George, along with all shelter dogs, is $89. This fee includes a $14 Wood County dog license and a $75 veterinary voucher for spay/neuter services and vaccinations, if necessary.
